چکیده
Strenx 1100 structural steel has unique material properties enables to utilize in important engineering applications such as marine and heavy vehicles. Due the surface integrity of parts produced by this is paramount importance, tool wear condition needs be considered well. As being applicable easy measure, flank (VB) widely preferred field reflects remaining life. Minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) been most recently machining operations especially for hard-to-cut materials improve machinability characteristics. This paper contains experiments further analysis during MQL assisted milling steel. Cutting speed, feed rate depth cut were included experimental plan Taguchi L9 design was adopted. Measured results evaluated with 3d plots, variance (ANOVA) optimization parameters carried out depend on signal noise (S/N) ratio. Accordingly, cutting speed first parameter affecting about 53.2% followed 35.77%. Parametric S/N ratio shows that order theall need selected minimum which observed graphs increase amount higher levels. comprehensive a guide practical industry providing limitations applying wide range parameters.

Wear Analysis during End Milling AISI 1018 Steel Using Microlubrication
Microlubrication minimizes the exposure of metal working fluids (MWFs) leading to an economical, safer and healthy workplace environment. In this study vegetable based lubricant is used to conduct wear analysis during end milling AISI 1018 steel using microlubrication. Solid carbide cutting tool was used with varying cutting speed and feed rate having a constant depth of cut. A full factorial e...
متن کاملError measurements for flank milling
This paper presents and compares methods of error metrics used to measure the error for the flank milling of a machined ruled surface. The aim of this work is to propose a new scheme for error approximation that is easy to implement and gives better error assessment when using optimization techniques to determine tool position. We propose using as the error calculation an approximation to the d...

متن کاملCharacterizations of cutting tool flank wear-land contact
Metal deposition at the tool flank wear-land during machining is a common phenomenon, especially in machining aluminum alloys and annealed teels. The cause of metal deposit has not been studied and the characteristics of the wear-land and deposit contact are not completely known. In his study, a turning test was conducted using tungsten carbide (WC) tools with pre-generated wear-land to machine...
